Confidence is a fickle thing. So are my interests. It's virtually impossible for me to stick with one style day to day. I follow the "muse", if such a thing exists. So many factors affect exactly what I choose to paint or draw each day, which makes following one particular path extremely difficult, which makes a paid career in art all that more tricky.
I posted the orange above earlier but it didn't register for some reason. I was talking about how much I enjoy that scratchy Photoshop quality, carving the colours out, making the marks clearly visible. It's something I noticed, loved and recognised in the work of Mark Daniel Nelson.
Also, I love simplicity. One image on a plain background, no fuss, no extraneous detail.
