Daily Spitpaint. There's so many groups to follow and contribute to now on facebook. This is the latest for me. Follow the topic set each day, time yourself for 30 minutes and paint. So the top one was for 'Space Ranger' and the second, 'Hero's Funeral'.
I painted using the Tonko House brush that seems to be doing the rounds at the moment, which can have the unfortunate effect that everyone's work starts to look the same. Ah well, I still like it for now.
The good thing about having so many groups to contribute to is that yes, creating artwork daily is vitally important, but sometimes you fancy working in different ways, with different focuses in mind. What I like about this is that it's starting to push me towards storytelling so that the image has more interest rather than just a landscape or environment.
But bottom line is they're all studies, done quickly, with the sole intention of sharpening skills and challenging comfort zones.
